COVID-19 Update 18th December 2020

COVID –19 PROTOCOLS : effective Monday 7th Dec. Masses WILL be celebrated with revised 2sqm per person rule =1.5 m away from people from different households (excluding clergy and liturgical ministers).
For our church, Sacred Heart, Griffith, this will mean 170 people in the church at any given time: whether it’s for Mass; Reconciliation; Baptisms or Prayer gatherings. Extra overflow of another 100 can be seated in the Hall. This applies for Funerals & Weddings also. CONGREGATIONAL SINGING also now permitted.

Parish Carols by Candlelight (BBQ 7.30pm) Sunday 20th December, 8pm on the Parish Lawns.
Christmas Eve:
4pm (2 Masses) Sacred Heart & MCC Chapel
6pm (2 Masses) Sacred Heart & MCC Chapel
10pm at Sacred Heart
Christmas Day:
7.30am
9:00am (2 Masses) Sacred Heart (Italian) & MCC Chapel

7:00am & 11:30pm (Please note there is no 5:30pm Mass)
NEW YEARS’ DAY (1st Jan.) MASS TIMES 9am & 5:30pm (Please note there is no 7:00am Mass)

PHONE CALL MINISTRY: We invite people to register themselves with the Parish Office if they would like to help by phoning other members of the Parish/community who live alone and would benefit from this kind of support. If you know someone in this situation, please let us know so we can connect with them.
Let’s continue to pray for an end to the Coronavirus, that we may remain close to the Risen Lord Jesus and that we may care for and support one another through this difficult time.

MASS INTENTIONS FOR THE DECEASED: Prayers will be said at the weekend Masses as normal and the Masses will be said by the priests. You may call Parish office with requests.
